BPA is excited to welcome Emily Byrd, a graduate interior designer, to the team! Originally from Illinois, she earned her undergraduate degree in fine arts at Samford and decided to make Birmingham her home. Emily’s positivity and creativity have already made her a great fit for the team.
Where are you from, and what brought you to Birmingham (or to BPA)?
I was born in California, but I am from Glen Ellyn, Illinois and went to Samford University for my undergrad.
What are you currently into?
Writing Letterboxd reviews for every movie I see and reading all the Emily Henry books. Also, the Mamma Mia soundtrack!
What was your favorite vacation or dream vacation destination?
Anywhere in Europe, especially London.
What’s one thing you hope teammates know about you?
If you need an ice cream break, I’m your girl!
If you had your own theme song, what would it be and why?
Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield – it’s my favorite song to scream with my college friends.
What advice would you give your 10-year-old self?
Trust God! He knows the plans He has for you, and they are far greater than anything you could ever imagine for yourself.
